L-Mar Associates is a highly technical and service-oriented Manufacturer’s Representative for Active, Passive and System Level Solutions. L-Mar's seven experienced and professional Field Sales Representatives (FSR) sell to over 350 OEM customers across Upstate New York. The L-Mar team has a dedicated Distribution Manager who works closely and effectively with the major electronics distributors in Upstate New York. Our goal is to provide a seamless channel for OEM customers whether buying direct or through distribution.

L-Mar‘s Vice President of Technology and Field Application Engineer (FAE) has extensive technical experience in several target disciplines. This technical resource allows the L-Mar team to engage with the customers at the product definition and white board discussion stages of new programs and designs

L-Mar’s two Inside Sales Representatives are principal driven; involved with OEM and distribution accounts. They maintain a high degree of productivity and provide superior account services by using the latest IT/Networking technology.

L-Mar’s office staff handles OEM and Channel Partner pricing, expediting, sample and literature requests. They work closely with the FSR and Distribution Manager to enhance the communications between the customer, principal, and channel partners.

L-Mar’s Sales Strategy

Demand creation in Tier 1&2 accounts is a rep level activity. The rep discovers, manages and drives the opportunity until the design win is achieved and fulfillment is needed. The FSR then works with our Distribution Manager, customer and channel partners to ensure a smooth transition into production, monitoring the procurement and inventory activity.  

L-Mar’s Distribution Manager and FSR team work together on Tier 3 account growth through Distribution partners with internal support of L-Mar’s FAE.  

The L-Mar team leverages their long term key customer relationships with senior management and program managers for early access into new products, platform, and programs; providing a proactive system solution rather than a reactive socket solution selling strategy.  

L-Mar’s strategy is program focused rather than individual component focused. Multiple lines/products are presented as a comprehensive solution for the program, product or design. Signal chain and line card selling from the processor to the capacitor. L-Mar sells principals entire portfolio of product, constantly thinking outside the box and looking for product fit in both typical and non-typical applications.

Edward L. Lepkowski   (President, Field Sales Representative)

Ed formed L-Mar Associates in 1972. His previous experience included five years as a Salesman and Sales Manager for Simcona Electronics, an Upstate New York distributor. This employment was preceded by two years as an Electronics Component Buyer at Bausch & Lomb. He received a B.S. from Rochester Institute of Technology, where he majored in Marketing. He has continued his education with classes in Electrical Engineering.

Michelle Radanovich  (Field Sales Representative, Rochester/Buffalo Territory)

Michelle has a technical backround with a BS in Biology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Her experience includes both technical and sales experience. She worked for Biocontrol Technology, Inc as a Lab Technician. Her sales experience began as a Sales Account Executive with a local telemarketing group. Michelle worked as a sales representative with a national electronics distributor for two years before joining L-Mar Associates in 1998.

Steve Hoover  (Field Sales Representative, Binghamton)

Steve has a technical background as well as a business background. Steve graduated from Lycoming College with a degree in Physics and a concentration in Digital Electronics. Steve also earned an MBA from Penn State, concentrating on Operations and Production. Steve's technical experience includes being a program manager and an applications engineer at IBM. Steve's sales experience began at S-J Associates, a technical electronics Rep Firm, as their Upstate, NY Division Manager in 1993. He remained with S-J until S-J Upstate merged with L-Mar Associates in 1998.

Wayne D. Finger  (Field Sales Representative, Syracuse)

Wayne has been an Outside Sales Rep since 1987. Previous electronics experience consists of four years at Transitor Electronics in Bennington, Vermont as an Applications Technician and later as an Applications Manager, and three years as a Test Technician at Teledyne Microwave in Mountain View, California. Wayne is a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, New York, with an A.O.S. degree in Electronics. Wayne's territory consists of Syracuse, Utica, Cortland, and Ogdensburg.

Edward Paul Lepkowski  (Field Sales Representative, Rochester Territory)

Edward joins L-Mar with 7 years of experience in the Electronic Component and Embedded Systems sales environment. Previous employments include five years in electronics distribution with Wyle and Nu-Horizons Electronics and two years with a leading active component Manufactures Rep Firm. Edward attended Monroe Community College (A.A.S) and Elmira College. Edward also served in the United States Army for 2 years.

John R. McAdoo  (VP of Technology and Field Applications Engineer, Upstate, New York)

John has over 17 years experience in the electronics field. As a member of the United States Air Force (USAF), John worked as an in-shop, component level Electronic Repair Technician for military radio systems to include HF, UHF, IFF, GPS, and TACAN radios and control boards. During the 1st Persian Gulf War, John repaired and refurbished Electronic Countermeasure (ECM) pods for combat FB-111 Bombers. After leaving the USAF, John worked for Forte Technologies, in Rochester, NY. He designed the LCD driver boards for the cost reduced version of the Virtual Reality Head Mounted Display (HMD). He has worked with a variety of PLD's and has experience with PCB layout, prototyping and testing. John also has experience in Component Engineering. He was the primary contact for vendors and he analyzed all components before accepting into the design. John was point of contact for FCC and CE Certification at Forte. He has extensive knowledge in the procedures involved with FCC/CE Certification. John has an Electrical Engineering degree from Chapman University and AAS degrees in Computer Programming and Avionics Systems Technologies.

Deborah Luke   (Distribution Manager and CM Field Sales Representative)
Debbie Luke, the newest addition to the L-MAR team comes with over 25 years experience in electronics, and has completed courses in psychology, and business at Onondaga Community College. She worked at Texas Instruments, Semiconductor Division for 15 years, first as the Distributor Manager, moving into OEM sales for the commercial and military product lines. The extensive training with TI gave her great knowledge of product and the Upstate NY market. For the past 11 years Debbie was at Future Electronics. She began as a Product Manager where she worked closely with the manufacturer's, rep's and Future's corporate product department enabling her to continue to enhance her marketing skills. Debbie completed her time there as an inside sales executive covering major customers.

Michael Daddis  (Controller and Strategic Marketing Manager)

Mike graduated from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in 1987 with a B.S. in Business and Economics, majoring in Marketing. He entered the electronics industry in 1991 after a brief career as a car salesman and two years in the fire protection industry. In 1991, Mike joined a local electronics distributor, Masline Electronics as an Inside Sales Person. Mike joined L-Mar in 1993.

Wendy German  (Inside Sales Representative)

Wendy is a graduate of Bryant & Stratton where she studied business and secretarial science. After graduating she worked for 7 years as a legal secretary in Corporate and Real Estate Law. In 1989 Wendy entered the electronics industry by working as a Sales Administrator for Delta Electronics, a manufacturer of custom power supplies, EMI filters and DC fans. During this time she was responsible for all distributors East of the Mississippi, together with key OEM accounts, including Phillips, NCR, Xerox, and Kodak.
